How does Dental Senders add new or edited patient contact information?

How to upload patients into Dental Senders from my software?

Go to your server where you set up Dental Senders on day 1.
Click the "start" button on the bottom left of your computer screen
Click Programs or All Programs
Look for "Dental Senders" on the right of the screen
Click Dental Senders, Concierge, Concierge Controller

A box will open up
Click "Launch Advanced"
Click "Upload Patients'
Click out of all open boxes.
That's it you are done.

Question - When we add our patient’s email address into Practice Management Software, it doesn’t seem to update the patient information in our Dental Senders, is there something wrong with Dental Senders.?

No, there is nothing wrong with Dental Senders. Here's how it works. The short answer is Dental Senders will update to the most recent patient email contact information, it just does not update immediately.

If a patient comes in today or calls you today with their new email address, please enter it into your Practice Management Software immediately. Dental Senders will update to the new email address. This update my happen at one of the following times

When Dental Senders next has to communicate with the patients to remind them of their next

1. Appointment,
2. Re-care
3. Dormant reactivation
4. Birthday greeting


Dental Senders only pulls the updated patient information when it is time to contact and communicate with that patient. This way we always have the most up to date contact information.


On day one when you start with Dental Senders we do a complete export of your active patients into Dental Senders.

On a daily basis Dental Senders integrates with your PMS to pull the applicable data to send reminders, re-care, birthday greetings etc.

Joe patient is in your PMS and in Dental Senders. Joe patient comes into your office today for an appointment and Joe patient updates his contact information with you. The updated information is now in your PMS but not in Dental Senders.

Dental Senders does not update Joe patient contact information until we next need to communicate with Joe patient e.g. when it comes to his next appointment we then pull his new data and update Dental Senders. We update patient information on an as needed basis.

How long does it take the dental senders web site to reflect the emails sent? Ours are set to go out at 10:15 and it is now 10:30 and it says no deliveries were made today.

All depends on the Preactice Management Software (PMS) that you use.

Dentrix and Eaglesoft within 5 minutes

Softdent and Practiceworks very slow (all depends on the database the software has).
