Yes, this is because it's not a Dental Senders software problem. Dentrix changed the files in their database with this update. We need to get an engineer on your computer to restructure where Dental Senders goes to pull the data. Sorry for the inconvenience and we hope that you find the $25 a month a great value for full support from our engineers.

Thanks!

Here’s the problem and we deal with it every day (that’s why we’ve had to start charging for premium support) our clients go into the concierge and start changing settings, delete files etc. Our support is spending the day fixings things that clients “play” with and break.

It’s impossible to run the business this way. We want to focus on new features and benefits to all clients. Our support team and engineers are spending more of the day fixing things that clients break. So, to your point while you may be comfortable opening our software and making changes 99% of our clients will mess things up even further and then our engineers will have to spend hours trying to work out what they did? Who pays for this time? Our client’s want everything free (we provide email and text free) however engineers time is very expensive and something has to pay for it when we are fixing things that we didn’t break.

It's impossible to continue adding great new features (which we have to add in order to stay competitive) while supporting things that we didn’t break. If our software breaks we will fix it free. However, if the office breaks it, makes changes on the server etc. then we need to ask folks to help towards these costs. SP7 is a great example, this was an optional update which changed the database structure (we will provide support for G5 when it comes out).

Thank you for your understanding and we hope to have you as a satisfied client for years to come.
